Description:  The ASFU Fixer makes your Power Macintosh, Macintosh 660AV or 840AV serial ports compatible with the GDT PowerPrint high speed serial-to-parallel converter.  It addresses a problem printing to Portable StyleWriter driver v1.0.1 where the user would get error messages from Spool Master stating that it is having problems communicating with the Portable StyleWriter.

  7. There is one caveat when using this extension - when placed in the Extensions
  8. Folder, it patches the current GeoPort serial driver to make it "compatible"
  9. with the serial-to-parallel converter cable used by the Portable StyleWriter.
  10. With the driver "patched", this may cause potential problems with other
  11. applications that use the GeoPort serial driver.

  13. If any problems are encountered, we would suggest taking out the extension;
  14. placing it back in only when the Portable StyleWriter needs to be used.

  19. 1)  Please place the "ASFU Fixer" system extension in the Extensions folder.  The Extensions folder is located in the System Folder.
